Gen-4 introduces a path tool: you sketch the camera move on the first frame and the model follows it, instead of inferring motion from a text prompt.
The practical change is subject persistence. Earlier versions drifted after roughly two seconds, which meant clips could only be used as abstract texture. Runway now holds a subject for the length of a standard six-second generation.
Export is 1080p on paid tiers. There is no alpha channel yet, so compositing still needs a manual matte.
