Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about downloading and using EditVaultz assets.
Are the assets really free?
Every asset in the library is free to download with no watermarks and no signup required. Assets with a verified license can be used in personal and commercial projects. Assets whose license status has not been verified carry no usage guarantee — check the license indicator on each asset page before use.
Do I need to credit EditVaultz?
For verified assets, attribution is not required. If you want to give us a shoutout in your video description, we appreciate it — but it is completely optional for verified content.
Which editing software do the assets work with?
Video assets are standard MP4 (H.264) files that work in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut and virtually any editor. LUTs are .cube files, sound effects are delivered as high-quality MP3, and title templates ship as MOGRT or After Effects project files.
Can I use assets in monetized YouTube videos?
Assets with a verified license status can be used in monetized YouTube videos, Instagram Reels, TikToks, client work and paid advertising. Check the license indicator on the asset page before commercial use.
How do I use overlay assets?
Place the overlay clip on a track above your footage and set its blend mode to Screen (for elements on black) or lower its opacity. Most overlays include a short usage note on their download page.
Can I redistribute or resell the assets?
No. You cannot resell, redistribute or re-upload the original asset files to other platforms, even for free. You may only distribute them embedded inside your finished video projects.
How often are new assets added?
New assets are added weekly. Check the Recently Added section on the homepage, or follow us to catch every drop.
What does Premium include?
Premium unlocks exclusive 6K/ProRes masters, editable project files, early access to new drops, bulk download packs and priority support. See the Premium page for details.
