How to Use Green Screen in CapCut
Green screen (chroma key) lets you drop a subject or meme over your own footage. CapCut makes it simple. Here is how to key out a green background and where to get free green screen meme clips.
Adding and keying the clip
Add your main footage to the timeline. Then tap Overlay > Add overlay and place your green screen clip on top. Select the overlay, scroll the toolbar to "Chroma key", and tap it.
Move the color picker onto the green area. Then adjust Intensity until the green fully disappears, and Shadow to clean up the edges. The subject now sits over your footage.
Getting clean edges
If you see green fringing around the subject, raise the Intensity slightly and add a touch of Shadow. Avoid pushing either slider to the maximum or the subject itself starts disappearing.
